01 The name
Remember the name, because you are going to be hearing it. Every letter is a word, and every word is a job the P‑TAS does.
Professional-grade, top to bottom: a swivel ball head as used on hunting tripod stands, stainless steel plated rails, high-tensile steel and alloy.
800 mm of left-to-right travel on the rails, so you track a target across the paddock without breaking your rest.

02 The story
The P‑TAS is brand new. Nothing like it has been offered before — and this is the first time it is available to you, direct from the man who invented it.
Every hunter who takes a rifle out on a quad bike knows it. Nowhere safe to carry the rifle, and nothing steady to shoot off when the moment comes. Nobody had fixed it.
Inventor Ivan Mandelik had a simple concept: one unit on the rack that carries the rifle and gives you a rock-steady, powered, moving rest to shoot from. The birth of a genuinely new shooting and hunting aid.
Over twelve months and literally thousands of hours of designing and redesigning. Prototype after prototype — each one more functional, more workable and better than the last. Mark 1 ran four corner bearings; the Mark 2 P‑TAS does it better with two.
Rigorously tested out on real ground, on a real bike, through vibration, recoil and weather — until every part of the P‑TAS had earned its place.

03 The System
Until now you carried the rifle in a scabbard, and when the moment came you got off the bike and found something to lean on. The P‑TAS does away with both compromises — for good.
A rigid base frame mounts to a standard ATV cargo rack. Running something other than a standard rack? Then it is a DIY fit to suit your own ATV — every part is in the kit, and you set the mounting points yourself. On top sit twin stainless steel plated rails capped at one end, with the Kolpin stock rest acting as the stop at the other, running high-capacity sliding linear bearings. Those bearings carry a sliding carriage plate, and that plate is what gives you smooth, friction-free left-to-right tracking through 800 mm of travel — track a target across a paddock without breaking your rest or resetting your position.
Centred on the carriage is a professional-grade swivel ball head, the same sort used on hunting tripod stands: 360 degrees of rotation and extreme tilt, topped with a modular quick-release clamp receiver. That takes Arca-Swiss plates, Picatinny rail adaptors, or the padded front rifle clamp — so whatever interface you already run, it drops straight on.
It is built for right- and left-handed shooters alike, and which one is settled as you assemble it: the alloy plate flips so its tapered end sits on your side, and the Kolpin stock rest mounts on that same side. The longer of the two rails always runs closest to you and the bars.
Underneath the deck, it is a 12 volt motorised scissor lift assembly. The rails are not on a raised bracket — they sit on top of an alloy plate, and that plate sits on top of the scissor lift, so the whole stack rises together from 100 mm to 300 mm. And when you are finished, the Kolpin Rhino Grip Pro lockable butt-stock clamp at the rear captures the stock, so the rifle rides home secured at both the front and the rear end.

04 How it works
Four movements with the P‑TAS. None of them require you to get off the bike.
Unlock the Kolpin Rhino Grip Pro butt-stock clamp at the rear of the carriage plate. The rifle is free but still supported on the ball head.
The whole carriage rises to your shooting height on the fly, and you will never have to leave the controls. Two self-centering push buttons on the bars — one up, one down — and the 12 volt powered electric elevator stops exactly where you let go.
Slide the carriage along the stainless steel plated rails for 800 mm of traverse, and use the swivel ball head for rotation and tilt. Two axes of movement, one stable rest.
When you are done shooting, clad the stock in the Kolpin rest and secure it with the rubber clamp. The rifle is then secured at both the front and the rear end for the ride home.
05 Built for the work
This is a working tool that is primarily bolted to a bike — but it is not limited to a quad. The two included 6-inch marine-grade suction mounts make it capable of mounting to a vehicle roof or a bonnet, and the whole thing is made for left- and right-handed shooters alike.
Plated stainless steel rails, 1000 mm and 800 mm, running two double-width roller bearings with end stop caps on one end and the Kolpin stock rest acting as the stopper on the other. Traverse stays smooth and consistent after the grit and the rain have had a go at it.
Motorised scissor lift, driven by a weather-resistant 12 volt linear actuator wired to the vehicle's electrical system. It raises the whole carriage from 100 mm to 300 mm without you leaving the controls.
Swivel ball head giving 360° rotation and extreme tilt, with a modular quick-release receiver on top. That takes Arca-Swiss plates, Picatinny adaptors or the padded front rifle clamp.
Lockable butt-stock clamp at the rear of the carriage plate, capturing the rifle for transit. With the ball head on the fore-end, that is two points of contact — no scabbard, no rattle, no rifle sliding around in the tray.
Marine grade, supplied with every unit, and they attach into the slots. Mount the P‑TAS on top of a vehicle roof to shoot from, or on a bonnet for target practice and zeroing a scope — then move it back to the bike.
Two self-centering push-button switches on the handlebars, one for up and one for down. Push a button in and it runs; it stops exactly where you let go. Nothing to latch and nothing to reset.
Powder-coated high-tensile steel and alloy throughout, engineered to withstand recoil, constant vibration and harsh weather. The scissor lift carries a rated load of 80 kg.
The base frame is designed to fit a standard ATV cargo rack. How it gets mounted to your particular machine is your call and your responsibility, so be across that before you order.
No cutting or drilling of the chassis is required. The only vehicle integration is the 12 volt supply for the electric elevator and running the switch lead up to the handlebars.
06 DIY attachments
The P‑TAS is built to fit a standard ATV cargo rack. Fitting it to anything else is a DIY job, done by the owner of the product.
Be clear on what that means before you order. All the parts will be there — the frame, the rails, the carriage, the elevator, the clamps, the loom, the switches and the two 6-inch suction mounts. What is not there is a set of mounting points drilled for your exact machine. Those you put on yourself, positioned where they suit your rack, your roof or your bonnet.
It is not a difficult job, but it is your job. If you are not comfortable setting your own mounting points, have it done by someone who is.

07 Colours
The P‑TAS Pro-Target-Acquisition-System has three different colour choices. Note that the P‑TAS name cannot be cut in on every unit.
The default. Disappears in low light.
Matches the REPP mark. Bush-friendly.

08 See it move

Watch the 12 volt motorised scissor lift take the whole carriage up, then the plate run the length of the stainless steel plated rails on its bearings. That is the two axes working together: elevation from the electric elevator, traverse from the rails.
09 Availability
This is not a pre-order and it is not a crowdfunding campaign. Tooling is finished, the build run is live, and every order placed today is allocated against a unit currently being manufactured.
Half the first run is already allocated. When it is gone, the next batch moves to the following build.
Expected delivery is by 31 January 2027. There is a chance of factory downtime over that period, so we quote that as the expected date rather than a guarantee — you will get a despatch notification with tracking the day your unit leaves the workshop. Freight is not included and is calculated at checkout against your delivery address.
